Dr. Niraj Kumar is Clinical Director, Senior Consultant & Interventional Cardiologist at Alchemist Hospital in Gurgaon. Prior to his current post, Dr. Niraj Kumar gained experience during his internship, residency and consulting practice at several hospitals around the country, including Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College & Hospital (Bhagalpur), Patna Medical College & Hospital, Holy Family Hospital (New Delhi), National Heart Institute (New Delhi), Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University, Batra Heart Centre (New Delhi), and Artemis Health Institute (Gurgaon).

Dr. Niraj Kumar has been an active member of 24X7 primary angioplasty programmes and has experience and expertise in patient care, OPD, IPD, critical & coronary including invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced life support measures such as temporary pacemaker implantation and intra aortic balloon pump placement. He has been trained in cardiac interventions at institutes of repute and has performed more than 8,500 coronary angiographies and 3,500 angioplasties (including primary, complex & multivessel), diagnostic catheterisation of congenital and rheumatic heart disease, percutaneous coronary angioplasty and stenting, permanent pacemaker & ICD implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, balloon dilatation of coarctation of aorta, balloon angioplasty & stenting of aorta and renal arteries. He also has proficiency in echocardiography, including transoesophageal echo and dobutamine stress echo, and TMT & Holter analysis.

Dr. Niraj Kumar is actively involved in research and clinical trials. He also shares his knowledge and expertise by speaking regularly at conferences, seminars and CMEs, and is an active participant at important conferences relating to his field of specialisation around the country.
